THE SLOW SUICIDE: LIVING WITHOUT THE PEACE OF GOD

Are you facing a difficult life situation? The peace of God is what sustains you when challenges of life are thrown your way. There is not much you can achieve and sustain without His peace. What's more, you will never enjoy the resources that are available to you for long, without the peace of God. The roaring lion (satan) and his cubs (the wicked among us) will not let you enjoy them (John 10:10).

The happiest people on planet earth are those who have the peace of God - and this is the truth. Some don't have all the good things of life that many talk about, and yet have so much joy. You would think they just won the lottery. No! They aren't playing the lottery; what they have and enjoy is, Amazing Peace. On the other hand, there are people who have all those good things, but live in constant fear: Fear of losing what they have, fear of what may happen tomorrow, fear of being cheated, fear of being killed for their possessions, fear of not being truly loved, and more. Some, out of constant fear and the stress that comes with it, then end up with life-threatening conditions: Depression (which often results in Suicidal Thoughts), Brain Disease, High Blood Pressure, Heart Attack, Stroke, and more. Research also has it that those who have what I will tag, The Worry Syndrome age very fast, physically. While I agree that this should be the least of anyone's issues (considering we all will age with time, anyway), sudden death could very well occur from living in constant fear, anxiety, and stress.

You cannot experience the peace of God the Father if you have not received Jesus Christ, His Son as your personal Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ is not only the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6); it is also through Him that we are truly and abundantly blessed. All good and perfect gifts come from God the Father, through His Son (James 1:17, 2 Corinthians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 8:6).

Seek the peace of God the Father, today. His peace is in Jesus Christ, His Son. He promised to give those who are burdened with the cares of the world, rest, if only they would come to Him (Matthew 11:28). True, lasting peace can only be found in Christ (John 14:27). Surrender all to Him now, dear one. Don’t wait a minute!

Firmly in His Grip,

Deborah O Daniel (Toyin)
