THE GOOD NEWS BEARER

"What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; and what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops." ~ Matthew 10:27

Deborah O Daniel (Toyin) is an Evangelist and a Christian Writer. She grew up in a strict, religiously confused household, but found Christ on her own, when it became clear to her that she had no relationship whatsoever with Him and had no purpose in life, in spite of her upbringing. Deborah surrendered her life to Christ in 1992 but kept running from her calling owing to the severe trials she faced and the cares of the world, until she had a personal encounter with Him years later. She steps out of her comfort zone as led to fulfil her calling. She also speaks openly about her childhood difficulties and the struggles she has had in life, to testify of the mercy of God and His awesome power. For more messages and a heart talk on living a fulfilled life in Christ, get the book, Walk the Winning Walk (English-British and English-American) here, offered for free by Divine Literature International, and available to Born-again Christians ONLY - particularly new believers.

This Blog is written in Standard British English for the benefit of international visitors. Style of Writing is casual and conversational!

Accursed Help

Some believers do not know that some of the people they look up to for support may not be the ones God sent, to be a blessing to them. They are disheartened when people let them down.

God knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:9-10). He knows that some of those who have refused to support you are talebearers. The minute they lift a finger to assist you, everyone in town has heard about it. If they are not the chatty type, they may become little messiahs over time and subtly demand to be worshipped. Some of them also have accursed resources in their possession, and the Lord wants no part of those. If you are His beloved, He will make them fail to support you. Just thank God, instead of making plans to pay them back in their own coin – the Bible says we are to give thanks in every circumstance (1 Thessalonians 5:18). When it comes to the things of the Lord, no one takes His glory, and no idol takes His praise (Isaiah 42:8). Look up to Him alone (Psalm 121:1-2) - He is the Ever-Present Help (Psalm 46:1). He will point those who will support you, your way. He can make them look all around for you, just to come to your aid.

Do not coerce or manipulate anyone into supporting you, if you have spoken to the Lord about your situation. Remember also, that the Lord's grace is sufficient for you. Wait upon Him and ensure that you are living in obedience; He will come through for you. It is important that you are generous, as well. A generous person is always blessed. As you remember others with what the Lord has entrusted to you, He will gladly attend to all that concerns you (Proverbs 11:25).

Shalom!
